Looking for love on television yet again, Emily Maynard has been announced as the brand new “Bachelorette” star.
The single mother from North Carolina will begin filming the new season in March after a long period of negotiations with ABC.
And this time around, Maynard’s standards are set high. A pal told press, “She’s looking for a man-- not a little boy.”
As for why she split from “Bachelor” stud Brad Womack last year, Emily told press, "I wanted to be married and have more children, but I doubted he was going to still want to be with me. As a single mom, I don't have the luxury of saying, ‘We'll figure it out when we get there.’ I need that reassurance that he'd want to be with me six weeks down the road much less six years."
